Ms. Patricia Mukala

Senior Associate Advocate

Patricia Mukala is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a passionate litigator and transactional adviser. She is a Senior Associate at Paul Andrew Advocates, where she specializes in civil and commercial law.

Patricia has worked across diverse, multidisciplinary environments, including government, government agencies, and private institutions. She previously worked at Prof. Musili Wambua Advocates, where her work focused on handling key legal matters for Safaricom Limited, particularly in commercial and conveyancing areas, including leases, caveats, cautions, and sub-leases. She has also worked at Wamae & Allen Advocates, gaining experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution and related practice areas. In addition, she serves as an educator at Mount Kenya University, School of Law where she teaches Commercial Law, the Law of Contracts, and Family Law.

She has extensive experience in civil litigation and practice, commercial law, debt collection, and employment and labour law. Patricia also has a keen interest in technology and the law, energy law, oil and gas, and environmental law. She has been involved in research on extractives, particularly on gender roles and dispute resolution in the extractives industry, for various projects under the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief (OXFAM). She has also researched and written on contemporary issues in arbitration, data protection, and intellectual property law.

Patricia holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree at the University of Nairobi and the Certified Secretaries course offered by the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board.

She is a member of the Young Institute for Transnational Arbitration (Young ITA), part of the Center for American and International Law.
